Grading
** If a student is absent, they will be allowed 5 days to make up work for full credit. Assessments must be
made up after school within 5 school days upon return from your absence. All work missed must be
completed after school upon your return.
** On all late assignments 5% will be subtracted from the grade for each day late.
** Cheating will not be tolerated in the classroom. If a student is caught cheating a grade of zero will be given.
** Extra Credit: Chances to obtain extra credit will be available on twitter and the class website. It can be used
in the following ways:

- Formal Assessments
- Quizzes
- Test and special projects
- Coverage of Athletic Events
- Sports Medicine Level 1 – 5 hours per quarter
- Reflections – 1 per each event worked
- Informal Assessments
- Assignments (CW, HW, Notebook Checks)
- Come to class prepared and ready to learn. Use appropriate language and voice level in the classroom.
- Complete all assignments independently unless otherwise notified.
- Food and drink are allowed; however, the privilege can be lost.
- Electronic devices can be used for class assignments with my permission. Electronics being misused during class time will be confiscated and turned into the office.
- There will be bi-weekly notebook checks each quarter. You are expected to have an organized notebook containing classwork, notes and handouts that are distributed in class. Test and quizzes remain in your folder in the classroom.
- You will be responsible for bringing your own copy of the PowerPoint presentation and/or notes with the corresponding unit we are discussing in class. These are available online on the class website.
- Stay on top of material, review your notes daily. If absent, you are responsible for obtaining and completing work missed and notes. **
- If you are tardy to class or disturbing the class, you will be sent to lockout with a referral.
- If you are consistently disruptive in class, you will be written up and referred to administration.
- The teacher’s desk is off limits. Please do not remove, borrow, or touch anything on or in the teacher’s desk without permission.
- No make-up of any kind or personal grooming will be permitted in class.

- Quizzes: can use EC to reach passing (70%) or to raise a passing grade 10 points
